(wife of Ted Neeley; dancer, Jesus Christ Superstar)
When I met Ted Neeley after seeing him in the stage version of Jesus Christ Superstar at Toronto's O'Keefe Centre in 1993, his wife, Leeyan Granger, was with him. And she was stunning. I recall long hair with strands wrapped in colour. Leeyan, for those who may not know, was also in the JCS film as one of the dancers in that great Simon Zealotes scene (shown in the photo below looking at Ted). Anyways, Ted Neeley to this day remains the loveliest, kindest man I have ever met. Just read what he wrote today in appreciation of his wife...
Wishing the happiest of birthdays to a very special lady, the love of my life, my beautiful and wonderful Leeyan. I am so thankful for this incredible film for bringing us together in Israel. I miss you so much and can't wait for you and our Zackariah to be here in Rome with Tessa and me. Happy birthday my love.
